A SOCIAL ENTERPRISE
THAT EXPLORES SUSTAINABLE APPROACHES TO HUMAN CAPITAL CREATION
WE PROVIDE INTENSIVE COLLEGE COUNSELLING PROGRAMS THAT CATER TO STUDENTS, PROFESSIONALS AND PARENTS ACROSS PAKISTAN AND BEYOND.
WHAT STUDENTS SAY ABOUT US
An institution founded on the principle of sustainable human capital creation in Pakistan, Dignosco fosters a collaborative learning environment that allows students to harness their intellect and access their depth of character. My time at Dignosco provided me with an insight into the intricacies involving college admissions and lifted the guise of uncertainty making the process more transparent and easier. I believe the Experiential Learning Program constructs a platform for personal growth that allowed me and countless other students to test the limits of their mental and physical capabilities. At the end of my college admissions journey, Dignosco had transformed into a home, I left feeling more resolute, nostalgic and happy.

It is usually an arduous job to persuade parents to let you pursue what aligns with your interests. But once the job is done, a multitude of challenges line up, especially when you aim for the best. Opting for a humanities based course, Dignosco helped me tackle these challenges in a systematic manner; I was provided with a detailed college plan that covered multiple realms including academic, and extracurricular, combined with a professional, and competitive working environment that pushed me to transcend the boundaries I had previously set for myself. This nourishing experience was enhanced when I took up an ELP trip to the Ayubia National Park; while it was a physical effort, it reiterated to me how true learning took place outside classroom.

What I really appreciated about Dignosco was that they didn’t attempt to fabricate a profile to present to colleges, instead they worked with me individually to assess my areas of interest and how to develop them. It was through a series of discussions with their wide network of counsellors that I was able to find effective ways to present the work that I had done and communicate it effectively in my essays.

Dignosco boosted and helped me succeed in my college applications primarily through their experiential learning programs. Through these, I have been able to challenge and test myself; whether the 5 day Thalay trek followed by brown bear mapping in the Deosai Plains or learning scuba diving, I have had distinct opportunities to further explore. These excursions did not only help my activity section and supplementary essays, but also instilled in me life long experiences and memories that I will forever cherish. Furthermore, with the help of Dignosco I was able to portray universities my brightest side, mainly through the activities and essays that Dignosco aided me with.

I started working with Dignosco almost halfway through my A-levels, at which point I was scrambling to get together an application for schools in the United States. The counselors at Dignosco offered invaluable guidance throughout the entire process, as I organized my college list, prepared for the SATs, put together a resume, and worked to maintain my transcripts. The mentors were also a huge help with the essay crafting process, probing and prodding me to think and work to the best of my capabilities, and all in all, I would highly recommend Dignosco’s services. Another thing worth mentioning is that Dignosco offers need-blind packages to high achieving students looking for scholarships, and the financial worry shouldn’t hold prospective advisees back from utilizing their services.

I was part of the batch that joined Dignosco when it first came to Karachi. It was a roller coaster of a time ranging from diving into experiential learning programs to pulling endless all-nighters (along with an endless supply of nutella parathas) writing the common app. Having Rizwan and all the other writing professionals around made all the difference when I had a writer’s block, and their advice and creativity pushed my college app into an elite tier of the applicant pool. With Dignosco, all of my friends who I advised to join are now studying in the US with scholarships, something unimaginable to many of them at the time.

Growing up, I was determined to study physics. I wanted to venture to either the UK and the US, for which the proper mentorship, guidance and tutelage is absolutely necessary. After multiple rejections, I contacted Dignosco, who provided unwavering support and unpanelled mentorship throughout and also poured in the motivation when the going got tough. I am greatly grateful for Dignosco making sure that I succeed, making my success their own and going above and beyond in getting me to where I am today, and their ‘need blind’ policy which made their services affordable.

Candidly put, I would not have found myself going to college in the US on aid should it not have been for Dignosco. Dignosco put things into perspective, and was with me every step of the way, humbling me when my college list was too ambitious and encouraging me to apply to a better college when I underestimated myself. I will not lie, I had to work very hard; but I would have had to work much harder — and achieved lesser — should it not have been for Dignosco.

What really made a difference to my application after joining were all the ELP trips. Not only did I make great friends but also experienced things I wouldn’t have ever thought on doing on my own.

With Dignosco, the only regret was not having joined sooner. You’ll find yourself surrounded by highly experienced and dedicated individuals who will guide you through every step of a tough and scary application process. Beyond that, your peers are not your competitors, rather they become close friends who are both helpful and give you the chance to learn much from them. Overall, I was incredibly happy with my experience at Dignosco

The ELP trips exposed me to experiences which helped me learn things I would not have been able to learn within the confines of a classroom. The exposure I got to different places and people helped me to see the world, and myself, from a fresh perspective.

The most significant aspect of my Dignosco Experience was the ELP trip to the Hunza Valley, which, for the first time in my life opened my perception to culture and the value of living out of my comfort zone. These factors helped me to not only reflect on and portray myself effectively in my college applications but also enabled me to make the best use of my college experience at Lafayette.

Dignosco played an extremely key role for my admission to King’s College London. The whole experience introduced me to unique opportunities that were a great addition to my extra-curricular activities, and being surrounded by like-minded members of academia really helped in improving my college applications.
